What You Should Know ABOUT YOUR ORTHOTIC APPOINTMENT
Your Visit
Orthotic assessments will include both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing examinations in addition to footwear and gait analyses.
These investigations will determine whether or not you will benefit from functional orthotic therapy in addition to other therapeutic modalities.
Diagnosis and treatment options will be discussed and an initial treatment plan formulated.
Follow-up visits are encouraged to ensure the effectiveness of your orthotic therapy and to update the path of your ongoing treatment plan.
Our Orthotics
VeriScan Podiatric 3-dimensional laser scanner is employed to capture your structural deformity which is then corrected by the prescription orthotic device. Our foot orthoses conform to the “Anatomical Custom Foot Orthoses” classification as defined in PFOLA’s Technical Standards Definition Document. We do not use a “library” system of digital shape files, pre-corrected molds, or prefabricated shells.
Who Can Benefit?
A properly imaged and prescribed orthotic device can provide resolution for people suffering from a wide range of foot and ankle problems including: heel and arch pain, bunions, knee pain, leg pain, general foot and ankle pain and many other conditions associated with structural foot abnormalities. Orthotic therapy is also employed to offload pressure spots and protect feet from deformity and injury.

Insurance Coverage
Services are NOT covered by OHIP.
Many private insurance plans include coverage for Chiropody Services and separate coverage for Orthotics, Braces and Compression Stockings.
Please contact your individual insurance provider to learn about your coverage and whether a prescription from your physician is required.
Direct billing is not offered.
Fees (No taxes are applicable).
Initial / Follow-Up > 6months / Orthotic Appointments (40 min) : $85
Follow-up Appointments within 6 months of last appt (20 min): $65
Orthotics/Case Fee (includes any adjustments within 3 months): $500
